Blasting out of Detroit on a loud as hell, hard driving, double-drum attack of everything that's good and right about rock n' roll, our Artist of the Month for November is The Dirtbombs. Founding member Mick Collins and company can currently be found on tour with TV On The Radio, supporting their awesome 2008 release We Have You Surrounded. They've been around a while, but if you haven't heard of these guys, do yourself a big favor and head over to their myspace to stream some tunes or their official site to learn more. If they roll through your city, make damn sure you get out there... they may be great on record, but you really haven't experienced The Dirtbombs until you've seen them live!

Under the Flood is an independent hard rock band out of Charlottesville, VA that know how to bring it hard every night they're on stage. This album, The Witness showcases the band at their best, bringing together heavy bass, loud guitars, impressive drumming, and some slick vocals into one ass-kicking sound. The album has a really polished feel to it for an independent rock band, and you really want to turn the volume up to the max. Be sure to spin this album so you can tell all of your friends that you heard them before they got big.
